Our Mission
Adopt a Stormdrain Foundation works to conserve our waters and ensure sustainable watersheds through education, technology, and consumer behavior. The foundation's goals are as follows:
- Reduce impacts of storm water runoff for a sub-watershed of your local stream;
- Enhance community awareness of storm water runoff and non-point source pollution;
- Foster environmental stewardship by businesses and members of the community;
- Make your community litter-free
Based in the City of Torrance, California, the Adopt a Stormdrain Foundation works with people with expertise in the technology of retrofitting and maintenance of stormdrain facilities. The foundation works toward educating our future generations in the importance of keeping our storm drains fee of debris. From large multinational corporations to small, community-based cooperatives, we involve businesses, government organizations, schools and consumers in our efforts to bring about the changes necessary to save our waters from pollution.
